OHS Software Australia
OHS software for Australian employers — built for clinical depth
Most OHS software covers incident reporting and checklists. OccuSpan covers the three domains that actually drive workforce illness — MSK injury, psychosocial risk, and population health — in one clinical intelligence platform. Built for mid-to-large ANZ employers in high-risk industries.
The gap in generic platforms
What most OHS software misses
Incident reporting ≠ clinical OHS
Logging a near-miss tells you what happened. It doesn't prevent the next injury. Clinical OHS software models the health demands of each role, assesses each worker against those demands, and intervenes before injury occurs. Incident platforms are retrospective. OccuSpan is prospective.
Psychosocial risk is now a legal obligation
The harmonised WHS Act and ISO 45003:2021 require employers to identify, assess, and control psychosocial hazards — not just physical ones. Most generic OHS platforms treat psychosocial risk as a checkbox or a short survey. OccuSpan deploys COPSOQ III with validated Australian benchmarks and generates a full ISO 45003-aligned program plan.
Population health is not a bolt-on
Audiometry, spirometry, biological monitoring, and ANZSIC industry benchmarking are core occupational health surveillance functions. They generate the longitudinal data that proves whether your OHS program is working. Most platforms treat them as add-ons or don't include them at all.
Platform coverage
The three domains OccuSpan covers
Every domain is connected to a single clinical foundation — the Job Task Analysis. One document defines the physical and psychosocial demands of a role; every assessment, survey, and surveillance workflow reads from it.

What makes OccuSpan different
The Job Task Analysis: the clinical foundation generic platforms don't have
The Job Task Analysis document defines the verified physical demands, environmental exposures, and psychosocial conditions of each role — signed off by a clinician and immutable once active. Every OccuSpan module reads from it. Pre-employment screens assess against actual role demands. RTW cases use it as the clinical target state. Psychosocial surveys flag when job demands exceed what the Job Task Analysis documents. Generic WHS platforms don't have this foundation — their assessments float free of the actual job.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between OHS software and an OHS management system?
OHS software provides the digital workflows — assessments, case records, surveillance data — that make an OHS management system (OHSMS) function in practice. OccuSpan is OHS software that supports a clinical OHSMS. ISO 45001 is the standard for OHSMS design; ISO 45003 extends it to psychosocial risk.
Does OccuSpan replace our existing incident management platform?
OccuSpan complements rather than replaces incident management tools. Most platforms (iCam, SafetyCulture) are retrospective — they record what went wrong. OccuSpan is prospective — it manages the clinical workflows that prevent the next incident. The two functions serve different user groups and serve different purposes.
Is OccuSpan ISO 27001 certified?
OccuSpan is built to ISO 27001-aligned security practices — row-level security, encrypted data, audit logging, and strict access controls. Formal ISO 27001 certification is in progress. A full security architecture review is included in every demo engagement.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is by workforce size and module selection. No flat platform fee — modules are activated as needed. Most engagements start with one or two domains and expand as the program matures. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Where is workforce health data stored?
All data is processed and stored in Sydney, Australia. No cross-border transfer. Individual survey responses are never accessible to line managers — anonymity thresholds are enforced at the database layer.
