Common questions
How does the IROJ pre-fill work?
When a clinician opens a new PES assessment, they select the job role. OccuSpan pulls the active IROJ profile for that role — including all physical demand categories, load ratings, postural tolerances, and environmental exposures — and pre-populates the assessment form. Clinicians assess the candidate against the pre-filled demands without entering the role requirements manually.
Can we include drug and alcohol results in the PES record?
Yes. D&A testing (AS 4308:2023 oral fluid / AS 4760:2019 urine) is managed in the D&A Compliance module, and the result links directly to the PES record for the same candidate. The PES outcome can be conditional on a negative D&A result.
What happens when a job role's demands change?
IROJ profiles have a version history. When a clinician updates a role profile (e.g. after a task analysis review), the updated profile is marked active. All future PES assessments use the new profile. Historical assessments retain the version of the IROJ that was active at the time of assessment.
Does OccuSpan support pre-employment screening for high-risk industries?
Yes. OccuSpan is used in mining, construction, transport, manufacturing, and healthcare settings. The IROJ system supports complex demand profiles including hand-arm vibration, noise exposure, chemical hazards, and confined space entry requirements.
How is conditional suitability managed over time?
Conditional suitability outcomes include the specific restrictions and a review date. OccuSpan generates a task for the reviewing clinician when the review date approaches. At review, the clinician can remove conditions, update restrictions, or escalate to a full reassessment.
